A complete clutch drum consists of a spline drum and a replaceable floating sprocket.
The floating sprocket is free to move along the spline for optimum chain-guide alignment, and the ability to replace the sprocket extends the life of the clutch drum.
This solution provides a more even cut, reducing chain jerk and wear.
Available in 0.325"-3/8" and 0.404" pitch. Note: All floating sprockets are marked with the number of splines and number of teeth. A floating sprocket is installed on the clutch drum by sliding it over the drum spline. The OREGON® spline can be either a "small" or "standard" bore with six or seven teeth. Be sure to distinguish between the number of splines (where the sprocket is mounted) and the number of teeth on the outer edge of the spline (which drive the chain). Some OREGON® clutch drums have seven teeth on the center spline and the same number of seven teeth on the outer edge of the sprocket.
